Read What Our Students
at Chantilly Are Saying...
A Training Center is only as good
as the students that fill its classrooms. If our students are not
successful, we are not successful. Below are just a few of the
many student success stories happening at ComputerTraining.com at
Chantilly, Virginia LLC.

"Coming to Computer Training, I had minimal computer experience through various jobs I had worked. I had worked eight jobs in two and half years when I heard an ad on the radio about ComputerTraining.com. Having always had an interest in computers, I decided to take the online exam and pursue it further.
After successfully completing the course, I learned of a wide variety of jobs and avenues to pursue my new career. Of the many different ways to take my new found knowledge, I chose to start out in a Data Center. Starting out in a Data Center offered me the immediate hand-on experience I needed to gain to put with my course work. I was then able to transfer my knowledge and hands-on experience over to my current job as an IT Specialist.
If I were to give any lasting advice to new students entering the program it would be to attack the course with fervor and to stay the course, so to speak. This is not an easy path to follow but the rewards are worth the time and effort it takes to succeed.
Taking this course changed my life and gave me the direction and focus I was looking for. Without ComputerTraining.com I would still be searching for the right path to walk."

"For the past eight years I taught myself about computers by trying to fix things that went wrong on my family’s PC, making it run faster, and playing games. I spent a lot of time in front of the screen. I enjoyed working on a computer much more than I did working on anything else. It still took me a while to figure out that I should take it to a career level. I watched a lot of my friends move out on their own, and then shortly head back home because their fast food job wasn’t bringing in enough money. I wanted to move out on my own too, but I wasn’t going to settle for barely scraping by. Finally, I heard the commercial for ComputerTraining.com on the radio, and I knew I wanted to try starting a career in the IT field.
I already can sit in front of a computer for hours without getting bored, so getting paid for it was really a no-brainer. Now instead of figuring out why my computer isn’t working properly, I help other people with theirs. I make a lot more money than I did before, doing something I actually enjoy. The certifications have given me a lot of possibilities for my future. I’m really happy that I went through the hard work it took to start getting them. The six months I spent in class really flew by!
Initially I was worried about being able to get a job after going through the course, but I trusted my instructor and to reassure myself I checked Monster.com and similar websites. I found out there are IT jobs all over the place, and it was just a matter of finding what was right for me.
The best advice I could give is to just work hard, and that you aren’t going to be in school for very long. Most importantly, get your certifications and listen to Career Services. They are there to help you and they really do everything that they can to do so. The Career Services program found my career for me; all I had to do was show up for the interview.
The whole experience was great. I honestly had the best classroom experience ever, and it didn’t really feel like school. I had fun learning, the instructor was great and participating and interaction with other students never felt forced. I’m twenty-one and making more money from day one of my job than either of my parents ever have. I have more opportunities than any one of my peers, and best of all, this is something I enjoy doing, instead of just making money with."

"A few years ago I graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Computer Engineering. I then moved to Alexandria, VA and started looking for a job. I was working as a Network Technician as an independent contractor. I didn’t have any health insurance and was only paid based on commission. I was getting some experience, however this was far from my dream job. I knew it was time for something new.
I enrolled at ComputerTraining.com and quickly got my MCP. I accepted a job as a Network Engineer for Qwest Communications and am now working on Wide Area Networks (WAN). I am receiving great hands on experience while configuring and troubleshooting routers. I went on to get additional certifications and am hoping to soon be a Systems Engineer. This position is a stepping stone to my future.
To any students coming into the program, I would suggest focusing on reading the books and doing the labs. Homework and the practice tests are also very important and need to be completed within the given amount of time. Make sure not to miss class and ask lots of questions!
The overall experience definitely changed my life because I gained hands on experience on installing, maintaining and troubleshooting Windows XP and Server 2003. Moreover, this class increased my professional horizon and made me a very competitive candidate in my career."

"I
was tired of my current job and decided I needed to make a
change. I didn't have much experience with computers but I
was comfortable with them and it seemed like it would be an
interesting career.
I was very
impressed with the competence and professionalism of the staff on
my initial visit, and continued to be impressed throughout the
training. The instructor was very knowledgeable, helpful,
and always available to answer questions and explain concepts.
The most important thing in the training was to always keep up. The material comes very
quickly, but if you stay up on your reading and stay focused in
class, you will be fine.
Thanks
to ComputerTraining.com, I have opportunities I never had before
and a chance for a good career."

"I had three years of experience working on a Help Desk prior to taking this course. I wanted to learn more about Network Administration and get a promotion. Since taking this course I was promoted to Network Administrator and given a $17,000 pay raise.
This course gave me the knowledge base to join the Network Administration team and be a useful member of that team. I was promoted to system/network admin roughly three months prior to graduation. I was working on a huge project preparing to convert our existing domain over to active directory. That was going well and I was gaining valuable experience putting the theory I learned in class to practical application and actually enjoying myself. In the process I had a few opportunities to go for a ride on a few Cisco routers and apparently I impressed the higher-ups in our organization because I was informed yesterday that I am being promoted again to the position of Network Engineer.
I am fortunate in that I work with a great bunch of people and they recognize my inexperience, however thanks to you I have the fundamentals to build upon and they are more than willing to bring me along. Thanks again for everything."

"I
started out working as a house painter. I heard about
ComputerTraining.com on the radio. I had already been
wanting to better myself and get a better career, so I decided to
check it out.
I was very leery about spending
the money for class. But after talking to the school and
sitting in on a class, I decided to do it. This
was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I have learned
so many skills that I will use in the field, along with having
built the confidence I need to succeed in the growing industry.
My instructor was
very knowledgeable and helpful if you have any questions. Thanks
to ComputerTraining.com and the instructor for making a difference in
my life."
